Chihuahua Of The Month

My friend April and I had made a descision that we wanted little pocket buddies that we could take with us places: the beach, parks, etc.
We searched the shelters, we searched the paper and oddly enough came to the Pennysaver. Late one Wednesday night April called this number and asked if they still had the puppies.
They did! So we rushed over to Moreno Valley and saw the puppies. They were the only two black ones of that litter and they were both boys. We had WANTED girls, but immediatley fell in love. April picked out the bigger of the two which was weird since she had wanted a really tiny one. I grabbed little no name Pokey and he fit in the palm of my hand!! He scrunched up against me and stayed there until it was time to leave. April had left her deposit for her puppy, and I begged her to leave one for me too. So she did. Her and I went the next day to pick up her dog, but I hadnt come up with my money yet... until that night. I talked my mom into an early birthday present, POKEYYYYY!!!!! we went later that night and picked him up!

A few funny things Pokey does is:
- randomly chase his tail if he is not being paid attention to.
- throws his food in the air and then eats it after he's done playing.
- he always goes with me to the bathroom and HAS to look into the tub like he wants to go in.
- he runs into walls when he is walking and looking back at me.
- he gets SUPER excited when i mention my mom's dog.
- he's happy to see ANYONE!
- and my favorite: when i kiss him on the cheek, he smiles!!!

The reason he is my special little friend is that he always wants to be with me. He will sit with my boyfriend if I am at the computer, but the second I get up, "mudder, mudder, mudder, mudder!". He is a ton of fun all the time and makes me feel better by just looking at him. On the occasions where I had shed a few tears however, he doesnt stick around. I'd like to think he doesnt wanna see me cry, lol.
