Please join me and my pupsters at a Puppy Pool Pawty.

I will have small wading pools filled with water for the pupsters to enjoy playing in and cooling off. I hope to find some toys that float in the pool for them to play with. Maybe even some Frosty Paws Treats.

I will be providing some virgin pool side beverages to help us stay cool too. And maybe some summertime watermelon.

We will be holding this at Camp Ilene. Camp Ilene is a doggy day care, boarding and grooming facility. She has a fenced area in front that is grassy and separate from her day care doggies. It has a long porch with a roof so we will be able to set up our chairs in the shade.

We are also hoping to have Dorothy, a day care staff member, provide some training tips since she will have completed her classes for becoming a dog trainer.

AND for those who wish to get their pupsters toes beach ready . . . Patricia, from their grooming salon Patricia's Pretty Paws, will be available to do puppy manicures for $7 (includes trimming and painting their toe nails tropical colors).

Remember to bring a chair since there are no benches.

  Need to Reschedule
  I did something to my back on Monday. Went to doctor today and he told me no bending, twisting, lifting, etc. So it will be too hard for me to schlepp stuff for the pool pawty and set up.

  I wanted to see which dates you all were interested in:
  Saturday, August 7 -- hopefully this will be good enough by then. August could be hot though.
  Sunday, September 5 -- Labor Day weekend. But September could be hot . . . always difficult to know

  I need to let you now that if 25 July is as hot as some of the days we have been having recently, we will end up rescheduling this event.

  I don't think anybody would have fun sweltering in hot weather. Even sitting in the shade . . .
